saturday
30th april
we were doing so well until the pond. tennis balls returned in
a 'go long' style reminiscent of dash incredible but then we lost it.

friday 29th april
new brief.
THURSDAY 28TH APRIL
FAVICON
IF YOU RESET YOUR BROWSER, DELETE ALL YOUR BOOKMARKS and flush your cache.
but a pretty little icon's worth it, right?
WEDNESDAY 27TH APRIL
the going rate's 25p a sock, mate.
how nice is it to be ready for bed and too tired to stay awake at just
8 o'clock? fourteen hours of sleep. i got a HAIR CUT. i bought black spray
paint, a shirt (yes i did), eight pairs of socks. for £4. i STOPPED
IN TO SEE STEVE. i painted two big qr canvasses and hung them. then spotted
the mistake.
TUESDAY 26TH APRIL
zeds. all of them.
MONDAY 25TH APRIL
into imagination to hand over the film unit work, over to steve's studio
for jimmy choo shoe choosing and a bit of a race down south, late into
the night.
tha atrium.
sundAY 24th APRIL
film unit feedback.
saturday 23rd april
film unit day.
friday 22nd april
into imagination for film unit brief.
thursday 21st april
lbc hasn't been too chuffed with me recently as i've been tubing it, freelancing
my way through april. after a trip to sainsbury's that didn't happen on
tuesday it's new battery time and a road trip (well, round the a406) to
walthamstow's gargantuan j.s. with windows down and very loud techno most
definitely on.
wednesday 20th april
29, 40 - 9, 4 + (live x 4, 235).
listening to live
from the newsroom, reading eleanor
rigby, working on live tv logo (usa).
'i want about a zillion fans on the back, a glow strip underneath like
a boy racer's car and go faster chevron stripes across the keyboard. and
various stickers that say 'turbo', 'special edition' and 'gti'.
tuesday 19th april
got home to find monks had bought me a present and even written the card
too! i have sneaking suspicions jane's giving her too much dog pocket
money judging by the incredibles sitting underneath it - and all for her
keeping me company and amused! nice!
ten seconds to go on the showreel clock, all ray traced and real looking.
-ish.

monday 18th april
oh, yes! the cars you win in gt4. choose
what you want, boys.
silly desktop, anyone?

sunday 17th april
dropped off chumps, washed clothes, cooked and made the new live
tv logo flap like a butterly, watched joey.
meanwhile, chumps' and my parents get it together, prague-style. my father
is definitely getting better at framing photos, i observed.

saturday 16th april
gt4 and the romans
whilst waiting for steve i had a few warm-up laps. i've been wondering
what the guitar track on the gt4
title sequence was. i heard the same song in cradle of life and
want to burn one for the car. driving music via association. typed in
amazon.com, did a music search for cradle of life soundtrack
and found 'reason is treason'. googled that and found the artist
was kasabian. googled 'kasabian' 'reason is treason'
'lyrics', and found:
see the stones coming at my window
ever since then I've not been conscious
to all the chains of dirt passed onto me
rubicon it's almost over
rubicon has come so close to me
turn back or we'll start the fire
they're all part of the big machine now
check the angles from both forces
overcome by the need to fight it,
fight it, fight it, fight it, fight it
see the stones coming at my window
see they left me no protection
tell his family that he won't be ok, k - i - l - l
turn away from the suffering silence
you can't face your country using you
check the angles from both forces
overcome by the need to fight it,
fight it, fight it, fight it, fight it
here comes the morning (and) I'll say goodbye to you
here comes the morning (and) I'll say goodbye
but I don't turn around 'cos the reason is treason
looked about right, so limewired it. i wonder about rubicon, thinking
there's a secret behind the soft drink name so stand on the table while
i look it up in my big fat dictionary:
a stream in north east italy which marked the boundary between italy and
cisalpine gaul. by taking his army across it into italy from his own province
in 49 b.c., julius caesar broke the law forbidding a general to lead an
army out of his province, and so committed himself to war against the
senate and pompey. the ensuing civil war resulted in victory for caesar
after three years. thus to 'cross the rubicon' is to commit oneself irrevocably
to a course of action.
slipped off the table.
friday 15th april
'if it was easy to do it wouldn't be cool.'
thursday 14th april
'in real life emotion doesn't have straight lines.'
wednesday 13th april
adverts i never want to see again:
sweetie the chick
crazy frog
homebase
micheal winner dressed as a woman
homebase
tuesday 12th april
due to the sunday session i don't have any work to do so i float
about a bit taking pictures of the others who are all, apparently, busy
then float home and play with monks all afternoon then write this instead
of building the landscapes i need for the main menu.

|monday 11th april
went to work. turned a background from red to white. pressed the
render key. waited. went home. took pictures:
sunday 10th april
i'm swapping today for tuesday, or monday for today and wednesday
to tuesday for tomorrow or something, but either way it's going to meet
the deadline. estimating render times and planning food, ps2 and films
around them is now second nature.
saturday 9th april
your usual, common-law garden-variety saturday involving sainsbury's,
pineapple juice and the nurburgring. eyes down, boys.
friday 8th april
happy birthday, mum, who's off to prague with the craigens. it's
all a bit lah-di-dah when you're retired. meanwhile, i learn to appreciate
weekends again after a traditional working week. easy and worthwhile.
chalk up mazda on the client list, namedrop, namedrop.
thursday 7th april
oh, and it's the election here soon, by the way.

monday 4th april
the sandpaper is calling me.
it's been coming for a while: my firt solo trip to mk - reassuring myself
that funks has driven many times on his own so it's no bad thing - with
fine weather and lots of traffic which is all good for me as i want to
get some reference footage for my model library that is coming along quite
nicely, thanks very much for asking. the new qr top came out and with
those spangly new bindings of mine i'm only a black board away from fully
reprazentin', yo!

saturday 2nd april
demontford for mum's 60th with everyone and an afternoon snooze
for me and my sis. there was a time a decade ago when it would have been
the kids up and about while the parents slept in the afternoon. funny
how the tables have turned and the kids lead a tired working life while
the parents fill their days with things they want to do.
friday 1st april
birthday present organisation and photo album sorting, possibly
combined filthy-rich style. oh - and how cool is it when you spot one
of your own
posters on the web? i can't believe it made it back. let alone got
hung! nice.
got a bit nervous about work so rang someone. can i start
monday? heheheh good friday.
