friday
26 august
mr man comes and gives me advise and wire wool. k t tunstall is playing.
thursday 25th august
hyperbole - exaggerated statements or claims not meant to be taken literally.
paloindrome - a word, phrase or sequence that reads the same backward
as forward.
wednesday 24th august
me: 'so if wednesday's excessive swearing day, what's thursday?'
noah: 'same.'
saturday 20th august

a spelunker, technically, is a person who goes in caves.
thursday 18th august
new blue
phone like my old one but with a torch.
monday 15th august
all's good in the 'ditch hood my friends. first non-state folio-worthy
piece done and back out to the world as i join the precursor team for
five weeks. having to say no to people offering me work is a good feeling
and the boys are both funny as hell and inspiring to boot. respect, guys,
and nice one. now get yer drappersbies out, me render's on it's way kind
of thing.
sunday 14th august
menial job one: drive to the garden centre and buy stuff to pot house
plants and the mint i bought for julie's birthday, then the upstairs girls
got home and we gardened all afternoon in drizzle and flip flops. so english.
jane cut back everything in sight, julie took down the tree "with
the taking the little wedge of cheese bit out of the side technique"
(and a sarcastic "timber!") and monks helped me dig up the roots
of the old rose tree and whatever it was that was eating my garden from
the bottom up. she's better than a spade - brilliant scraping action although
the chewing wasn't altogether necessary. by the end of the afternoon i
had no trees, borders or plants, just a six foot pile of compost-to-be.
whoomph, there it is.
menial two: clean up. dog, kitchen, me in that order. then an online shop
for sheds (!) and learning how to lay a patio. not simple. bugger.
saturday 13th august
slid over to chumps' with lbc on the ferry, then come back for menial
shelf tidy and plastic-box-from-state clutter purge fiesta.
friday 12th august
static delivery day, all done by 10am but still on guard but no need for
the edit suite.
sunny so in the car to kwik-fit for pads, discs and tyres. here comes
200 miles of soft braking.
post office for curve cd. not cheap at 90-odd dollars but worth every
cent. all my favourite songs sung a new way. consider it backed up on
every computer, hard drive and ipod i own. =10.
oh, and i don't like makosi much. or at all, really.
thursday 11th august

to jude, replace and edit all footage sequences, compose in 3d, render.
monday 8th august
richie not talking clips in + render, edit suite p.o, cut ten second teaser
1, cut ten second teaser 2, timecodes for edit suite, 3d for 10 sec 1,
3d for 10 sec 2, show client + send to sound designer.
sunday 7th august
characteristics of the big roads. so far:
a1. brilliant if it's quiet - twisty, tight, small verges that make it
feel fast and dangerous, roundabouts here and there to break it up
m11. the most boring road in the world. closely followed by
m4. oh, come on. long, straight, flat, wide. yawn.
m40. up and downy and long, shallow bends. i always remember the prince's
risborough bit, cut through the hills.
a603. mostly single carriage but good stretches, especially over the magogs
into cambridge. lift off! (shame the junction on the left can't see you
until your wheels are off the ground over the lip...)
a406. like the a1 but a bit slower.
m5. can't remember.
m3. like the m4 but shorter.
a30. lush tree-lined bit down and round a sweeping valley somewhere near
taunton or exeter.
a23. averagely twisty but a chicaney bit over a hill and round a couple
of tight corners (which everybody overbrakes for, unfortunately) is worth
the wait.
i'm such a pistonhead
WANNABE. an elise within a year is the plan. if i get one i'll have earnt
it, that's a given. if only green was black:
saturday 6th august
summer in a day, simple as that. i met the nextmen and graham from pop
will eat itself and then holly and smiled at chris over the dancefloor
whilst i watched jet set jim go mad. hilarious. spent all day
at al's side, panicking like a child every time i didn't know where he
was and just had the best time ever.
friday 5th august
set off the render, set off to big chill.
long walks, tent up, and i couldn't find anyone cos phones don't work
in the valley so i go to bed, knowing ever hour of sleep is valuable from
last week and to next.
a l turns up super late for a brief chat then bed, knowing tomorrow is
the day.
